Open Vehicles: Remote Monitoring for Electric Vehicles
Open Vehicles, developed by Mark Webb-Johnson, is a utility app that allows users to remotely monitor their Electric Vehicles. The app provides essential information such as current state of charge (SOC), door/trunk/hood status, tire pressures and temperatures (TPMS), core system temperatures, and live GPS location of the vehicle on a map.
To utilize the remote monitoring feature, users need to have the separate OVMS hardware. However, the app offers a DEMO car account for users to explore its capabilities without the hardware. Open Vehicles integrates with charging station information from Zero Carbon World and the Open Charge Map project.
